I’m Lars Andagile, and this blog is my running log of how a man over 40 gets lean and stays lean.
Why this site exists
After 40, the advice most men find online stops fitting. Recovery is slower. Time is shorter. Metabolism, sleep, stress, and joints all start to matter in ways they didn’t at 25. Most fat-loss content is written for twenty-somethings, or sold with before-and-after photos and a promise of 30 days to a new body.
I wanted something different: a plain record of what I tried, what I measured, and what actually moved the scale and the tape measure. That record became this site.
What you’ll find here
- Training logs: strength and conditioning routines that respect time and joints.
- Food and calorie strategy: practical approaches to eating in a deficit without living on chicken and rice.
- Habits and recovery: sleep, stress, steps and the unglamorous basics that decide results.
- Honest gear and tool reviews: only products I would use myself, with clear affiliate disclosure.
How I work
- I log, measure and adjust. If something doesn’t work, I say so.
- I cite sources for health claims and link to them where I can.
- I don’t sell miracle products, crash diets or “secret” tricks.
- I update articles when better evidence or better results come along.
Important to know
I’m not a doctor, dietitian, or licensed health professional. I share everything on this site for general information, based on my own experience and research. Please read the Medical and Fitness Disclaimer and speak with your doctor before changing your diet or starting an exercise program, especially if you’re over 40, have a medical condition, or take medication.
